Scottie Barnes has been named to the 2025-26 NBA All-Defensive Second Team, becoming the third player in franchise history to achieve this feat. Barnes averaged 18.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 blocks, 1.4 steals, and 33.5 minutes in 80 games (all starts) last season. He was the only player in the NBA with at least 100 steals (114) and 100 blocks (116). His 230 total 'stocks' (steals + blocks) was second in the league behind only Victor Wembanyama, while he led the NBA with nine clutch time blocks. Barnes made his second NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles and was named Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Month for October/November and Player of the Week in Week 12 (Jan. 5-11).
